There have been so many exciting things happen in the 2013 Osprey Season, I thought it would be good to have a thread dedicated to all the discoveries made this season. Things like returning Ospreys that we thought were long gone, it would be good to gather them all into one thread so that it would be easier to find them.
Some I can think of at the moment are:
KIELDER
White YA (07) and 37 (05) offspring of Orange 11(98) and Unringed Female at Glasyn being the two males on the Kielder Nests 1 and 2. LINK to Kielder Blog
Blue 38 (2011) Kielder Nest 2 returner photographed in North Yorkshire LINK to Kielder Blog
Blue 35 (2010) Kielder Nest 1 returned seen in Cumbria, had a nest but it failed.

There are many many more exciting discoveries this year, please add to this thread of any that you can think of.

An excellant idea MARY and loved reading them all again Good way of keeping track.....also a morale booster for, as you say, many were thought to be long gone. Hope for others?
Mary, this is a brilliant idea for a thread, thank you. I have no doubt other exciting discoveries will be recalled and added here.
Birdie's DU Summaries 2018
In reply to patily:
Mary, in respect of White YA his 'adventures' at Blagdon Lakes are worth inclusion. The details are under News, 2013, 1st April, with a guests photo link. I can't get the actual page to show just the main site
Birdies LG DU update.
In reply to Mike:
Thanks MIKE - here is the link to the blog for the incident in April. The photographer does not let you right click so I cannot get a link direct to his photographs but they are clearly marked within the blog.

Sheila I hope so, and hope others will post too, would be so nice to sit during the winter and go through one thread to see all the exciting things that have happened this year.
In reply to MaryGK:
Yes White YA became a star in what must have been the most exciting osprey week ever. Kielder did a blog YA-who?!
What about ochre ZT for a lovely osprey?
Tiger's RSPB Signature
In reply to Tiger:
Tiger you are the Oracle so you must have more to add, that I cannot think off.
Oh I see you have just edited your post above and added Ochre ZT.
Cannot Forget the Friends of Island Beach when not only did they have 4 healthy juveniles on the nest, another one visited from a nearby nest too.

WHITE NP - (Hatched 1997) from near Lairg in Sutherland ( far northern Scotland) Intruded at Loch of the Lowes, early spring 2013.
Also the mystery at Hellgate was never solved, or maybe it was but not been reading their Facebook Page. Did Iris lay 5 eggs in a first clutch, or did she lay a second clutch of 2 eggs, but very quickly after the first clutch.
