    Dibnlib : Interesting you mentioned Findochty as that was where I had a cheap holiday in a little flat when my kids were little. I believe there are no pubs in that village.

    Lindy: Bats are very valuable to the ecosystem, and I would never hurt one. But, dang, are they creepy little fellas!

    Thanks for the fierce looking bat picture, Diane.  I wouldn't hurt them, either. (however ugly they were LOL!!)

    ALAN   There are pubs in Findochty now.

    DIANE  love bats, but probably not a lot of them together, I can imagine that would spook you

    More place names. This time pronounced as they are spoken but I love the sound of them. Auchtermuchty in Fife and my Grandpas favourite place name was Muckle Flugga which is a rocky island north of Unst in Shetland.

    DIANE   The collective noun for bats is colony or more appropriately I think, in your case a cloud of bats!

    See I've just missed NiteOwl -  thinking of you again, NiteOwl, take care.

    Just remembered that it's Monday and I usually put on a Monday Smile.  Today it can be a couple of photos of some strange beings we met as we left the Flower Show the other week.  Everyone got their cameras out as these two characters were walking around, even though they had no apparent legs, and were talking to all the visitors and cracking lots of gardening jokes!!  (of course, I have forgotten all of them now.... but it was really funny!)

            ~     hilarious!!!    and they spoke in strange accents, like 'yokels'   -  it really made my day!!

    I have missed OG, I have not answered questions put to me - in short, I am an absolute disgrace! But here's the IMPORTANT thing, MARGO has just phoned! She came home from hospital last Friday. After losing a stone in weight she was on IV fluids for a few days. Very weak and badly bruised from lots of falls at home that she tried to conceal from her OH. The different tests that were performed didn't show anything so the consensus of opinion is that the chemo has caused this rectal bleeding and all the weakness and loss of appetite etc.Margo's OH is looking after her this week but a care package has been put in place for when he returns to work. Margo has a walking frame and bathroom aids plus a carer will come in the morning and at lunchtime. In two weeks time she will see the oncologist and discuss things regarding the chemo.Billie pined for Margo and is obviously very happy to see her back at home. Margo sends her love and thanks to you all. Now to see if I can post this without losing it!
