HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Weekly Chat thread is HERE.
The code for this new week's thread is WC040813 (in case you ever need to search for it from the search box).
Finally got those to load after three attempts <SIGH> This site has not settled down yet nor even reached the level of any kind of user friendliness it had before they "improved it" It seems to be causing all of us to post less as it's so much hassle.
End of Rant.
See that we have heard from dear Margo's OH: sorry that she is having such a rotten time and my thoughts are still with her and indeed both of them, daily.
Good Afternoon ALL. Yesterday I posted on the nest pages but when I posted a long list of answers on here, it appeared to have posted, but has still not appeared on here !!! I have read all your posts but do forgive me if I haven't replied but I am not chancing a long post again :-))
Mulberry, I didn't know which way I should use bubble wrap, so thanks for the instructions. Loved your washing machine story.
Heather, When you are next speak to Margo or her OH, please pass on our continued, thoughts, prayers and very best wishes. It has to be a most difficult time for them both.
to be continued

lg stats
Dibnlib, Lovely photographs. I had heard of the "Seagull". It is fantastic that they provide for the 'special needs' folk and also not charge.
Diane, I am sure I would not have stayed calm if I thought I was pulling out a weed and found a snake in my hand. I would be alright if I knew I was going to pick up a harmless snake.
Annette, My mother used the expression, " a cat's lick and a promise". I haven't heard it for years though.
Linda, Love the ' Biker ' pics. Think I saw him a few weeks ago as he drove around a bend, too fast, on the wrong side of the road. I finished up on the grass verge.
For those of you who haven't yet noticed. Dyfi chicks were ringed this morning.
11:27 Emyr - MWT
1R - Cerist (second chick 1,660g)
2R - Clarach (first chick 1710g)
Another trip to Manton Bay this morning. It was quite cool and cloudy and a bit chilly in the hide with a breeze coming off the water. Only one osprey around to begin with but the whole family were there at one time or another. Hide was fairly busy and quite full when I left. The Grebes seem to have lost their nests again since last week. Stll a few egrets around the bay but none very close.
Mr Heron having another confrontation with a Signal Crayfish:
Lovely photograph ALAN. I wonder how many crayfish a heron would eat in a day.
Brenda : I have twice seen a Heron pic one up but never seen a Heron manage to eat one. Must be really awkward with all those legs and claws.
