HAPPY NEW WEEK!

Last week's Weekly Chat thread is HERE.

The code for this new week's thread is WC040813 (in case you ever need to search for it from the search box).

  • Lindy, if you're reading, my fingers are tightly crossed this morning!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Good Morning ALL. Raining this morning but I need to go shopping before our son arrives with Penny.

NiteOwl, Thank you. The GE is not new. It goes back to Feb 2011.

    Take care of yourself.

Diane, I know the pup will be time consuming, she never seems to keep still until she collapses and gooes to sleep. LOL

I love your card for Buzz.

I have been thinking of Linda and her OH, and Buzz. Always a worrying time even for a minor op.

  • Good morning everyone. For those of you who remember the Lab pups. Here they are at 5 months old. They are with Mum. Our friends have kept two.

  • Gorgeous, dibnlib!!   I just came on as you posted the above:  they are beautiful animals, but what a houseful they will be!

We are still waiting to hear how our Buzz is doing, as when we dropped him off at the Vets, they said it could be this afternoon before they ring us with any report on what has been happening.  I just hope they did the op early on and did not leave him for too long in a cage, wondering where he was and why. He hates going there usually, anyway, and gets very nervous.

Thank You for all your good wishes and especially to Diane for the beautiful picture of the White Tailed Deer:  I shall copy it, its lovely.

I will write on here as soon as I have news:   I spoke to my Youngest Son last night but did not tell him what was going on as did not want him to spend a working day worrying.  We will tell both our sons after its all done with.

  • Our thoughts are with you all, Lindy - we hope that everything will be fine.

  • Thanks, Limpy.

EDIT:   Just trying out the new blue 'Edit' button at the bottom of my post - they seem to have changed the system again now.

  • I much prefer my edit button to be where it is now.

  • Hello. We have heard at length from the Vets - Buzz is now recovering. They have successfully removed the lump in his mouth together with a rather rotten tooth which was next to it. There's no way to tell if the two things were anything to do with each other. I was not surprised as I went to the vet expecting a bad tooth as his breath smelled that way - sorry if this is too much info! We are off to collect him at 6.00 pm after he's had a rest. Minor drama also as I went briefly to the shops and on my return, realised that my OH should not be in the house as he broke a tooth the other day and had a lunchtime appointment - he had forgotten all about it whilst worrying about Buzz. Had to ring the Dentists & apologise, they could not now fit him in and he has rearranged for Tuesday.
  • Afternoon all,

Linda : Glad all is well with Buzz. It does sound as though the lump may have been some sort of abcess if the tooth was rotten.

Decided to go to Rutland Water at the last minute this morning. It was cloudy and raining on the way up the A1 but when I got there it had dried up. The good thing was that the hide was empty and I managed to get the comfy seat. Hide remained fairly empty and there was a distinctive lack of long lens types clicking away. It was getting busier as I left.

You have to hand it to the GCG s. They have built yet another nest:

Mr Heron looking for another Signal Caryfish?

Not so many little egrets around but worth a pic anyway:

  • ALAN   your pics are always so good, thank you.

BRENDA  keep snapping and posting those pics, that is if you are not too exhausted.

LINDY   Glad to hear all has gone well for Buzz. Sorry about OHs dental appt, but with Buzz at the vets it isn't surprising that the appt was forgotten and at least he hasn't too long to wait for his next one.
