HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Weekly Chat thread is HERE.
The code for this new week's thread is WC040813 (in case you ever need to search for it from the search box).
OG I have replied to your message but I will send a text message to your phone with my mobile number as I forgot to put in my message.
Diesel was at the groomers on Tuesday so he is looking less like a teddy bear now.
If the weather stays as nice as it has been you will be to enjoy your visit to Fife as we haven't had any rain for over a week and what there was hardy kept the dust down.
I hope Margo is now on the recovery trail as she has now started to eat and drink and my thoughts are with both her and her OH at this time.

Linda : Sorry to hear about Buzz. Hope all goes well.
GerorgeG : A whole week without rain in Fife must be some kind of record. I did notice that it stayed dry for the Womens Open Golf at St Andrews last weekend.
Another nice day with temp at 24.2c. I have been catching up on some outside painting jobs like the shed and the side gate.
Linda- I hope the surgery for Buzz goes well and it is a benign growth. Such a worry, though.
Thanks, bjane, and everyone else who has mentioned Buzz. We shall just have to wait and see. I'm fatalistic about such things. He has not eaten much today so seems even more uncomfortable, and we're glad he is booked in to get it sorted out.
I had a lovely morning, as it was very pleasant weather here indeed: sunny but not too hot. My Friend and I decided to give ourselves a treat and went over to Dunham Massey Park, which is a stately home and deer park. She has a National Trust Card so we got into the park for free, and anyway the house is closed to visitors midweek but we wanted to have a short stroll in the grounds and then visit the Cafe and Shop. There were deer grazing close to, and lots of children excitedly whizzing around enjoying their freedom as there is a lot of space there. Have taken photos which I will put on later. We enjoyed a naughty flapjack each in the teashop, and then browsed the shop for some early Christmas presents: Friend bought some delightful Christmas cards (!) and I bought some small toys & a 'Grow Your Own Carrots" kit for a certain small person. Also some neat little clippers for myself, to deadhead the garden flowers with: they are small enough to fit into your pocket. Enjoyed strolling back past the local duckponds, also admiring babies in prams and watching the families, and said what a pleasant time we had had.
Have been weeding in our garden this afternoon: how much they have all grown now they have enjoyed some rain!! OH has saved some of the heads off my precious poppies so that we can plant the seeds later, and we intend to scatter some in the hedge bottom in Wales to see if they will come up next year.
Brenda: What fun, looking after a puppy! it will be like having the grandchildren, enjoying them and then handing them back LOL!! Do hope you can manage a photo of her.
Hi, Lindy. Just wanted to say that we'll be thinking of you and Buzz tomorrow, and we hope the operation will be a complete success.

LINDY Hi again, glad you had such a good time today, look forward to pics. Remember vet saying that Fingal would be finding it uncomfortable to eat, we hadn't noticed anything, mind you.

Diane - saw the Elephants Ears - fantastic! - I could only eat four at once, LOL!!
Disgusted by the thought of cow brains .... eeeugh!
Nice day – supposed to be wet in early hours tomorrow, then nice again. The three of us are going out – dropping used plant pots off at Dobbies and then spending the day at Silloth-on-Solway (the “other side”).
Brenda – I haven’t noticed any blips on the site today, and it seems to be working well. I hope that which was to be accomplished has been. Two weeks with young Penny? I hope it goes well, but I seem to remember you puppy-sat when she was very tiny.
NiteOwl – ha! You’ve reappeared; good to have you back.
Diane – those really were two very long posts. We find it hard to envisage rivers as big as the Ohio, or even the Wabash! I grew up by the Upper Thames and even after that I found the shallow rivers of East Anglia so very tiny!
Dibnlib – hello! I hope you three are all well.
George – thanks for the reply and the text message. I have replied, and we are looking forward to Tuesday!
Linda – that sounds a lovely way to spend a morning! I have a pair of those little clippers from NT shops and they are so good for cutting herbs, or dead-heading flowers. Special thoughts for tomorrow.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
