Happy new week and new month!
The world's oldest known calendar device has been found in Scotland. It's based on the phases of the moon, as well as the position of the sun, and is 10,000 years old. That's 5,000 years older than the first formal calendar devices found in the Near East, which were thought to be the earliest. The device provides further evidence that Scotland's early civilisations were much more advanced than previously thought.
Hi all back late last night/early this morning from Scotland when I get sorted out I will post some pics of holiday

Hi OG back at work tomorrow
Hello all and night night all in one post!
Thank you for all your news and pics, I am very poor at making individual replies but always thinking about your lives, wasp nests, brownies, grandchildren, country walks, gardens, etc etc xxx
I am in bed writing this on my kindle. Dinner this evening for ten of us which is about half the family.
OH seems fine , so far, so good.
Regards to all especially Margo if she reads this in the morning.
Evening all: Spent most of the day in the garden; finally added a couple of drippers to the irrigation system to encourage some bellflowers to spread. Have had to sign in only twice since the site was up- downgraded.
AQ: Congrats on the new vanity and surviving the family, cat and all.
Limpy: Are you allowed to name your adopted owl?
OG: Aha, so you did get a chance to put your feet up while OH was off. That's a long way for him to travel to see AA; how often does he hope to go?
Lindybird/Heather: Large family gatherings for you guys - must be nice (but I'd be out with Lindybird buying the goodies)!
Alicat: Welcome back. Are you still working way too many hours?
Lindyloo: Wow! That's some view from your garden.
Margo: Best thoughts to you dearie!
Thanks everyone for lovely pix and bits of news. Have a lovely Monday.
Temp reached 20 C yesterday. I noticed almond blossom last week. Then they predicted rain today. I hung washing in garage, dashed off to shops for fruit & veg. Home again. No sign of rain. Blue sky, few fluffy clouds. Transferred <sigh> washing on to clothes line. Now what leftovers are in the fridge for lunch.
