Here I am, awaiting the snow machine to crank up again Sunday afternoon. Expecting 8 to 12 inches new snow on top of 3 or 4 we still have from last storm. Oh bother! Can you tell I'm not very enthused?????

Watched a BBC prog about 2 Brits travelling across BC to the Olympic games. There was discussion about tracking and hunting and the difference between hunting to eat/ hunting for population control/ hunting to protect human activity/ hunting for the pleasure of killing. Difficult to know what to think!
After that, looked in on Lily and the cub. Lily was quite active and eating snow, then cub got very wriggly and more visible than I’ve seen before – and also very vocal.
Spent some time re-organising my favourites and renaming some of the webcams more logically earlier today to make it easier to know where I am going!

Hi everyone.Had a fairly lazy day. Not really doing much apart from puting out bird food and watching sport on television. There was a thinish layer of snow covering the ground yesterday but it's all been washed away. Mostly a mixture of light rain and slightly overcast. Dreich is probably the best description. Can't believe how fast this week has flew in. Mind you if that means time goes in faster until better weather brings about the return of the ospreys, then I can't complain.OG: Glad to hear the birds haven't been deterred by the new arch.margobird: Hope you and your OH enjoy the Chinese meal.Tiger: Thanks for the link to the Pale Male pictures. OG Glad your son has arrived safely in Carrbridge - roads don't look too bad on Traffic Scotland Live-eye views. BTw when you visit him in Grantown, Garth Hotel does great lunches - soup to die for - and the Mountview Hotel in Nethy Bridge does a superb Sunday lunch. We've booked our favourite cottage ffor a week in October and sister and b-i-l have booked a week in May. Hoping to persuade OH that we can join them for a few days. May is so beautiful with all the new foliage returning birds - and LG Centr5e open!
