Here I am, awaiting the snow machine to crank up again Sunday afternoon. Expecting 8 to 12 inches new snow on top of 3 or 4 we still have from last storm. Oh bother! Can you tell I'm not very enthused?????
So to pick up from the last of our thread:
Annette: Do tell us how the Pale Male movie was, please.
Some fascinating new news on the Peregrine Falcon front from Derby Cathedral (it's snowing there as I watch at 11:15 p.m. Chicago time) where they've finally let us in on the secret hinted at in the blog from last month.

I believe I'm off for the night now. Happy Sunday to all!
Hi all. Weather or more correctly said temperature is unbelievable, it´s gone up to PLUS 2C!!! Has been constantly (close to 70 days) below zero (and usually double digits...) since December so this feels so odd.
Saw Tiger answered `bout that Black Water address, thanks
I just edited my previous posts, changed those pics, earlier just downloaded them from my laptop, but since they disappeared tried now by PhotoPucket, will see if the gremlins will eat these too
Have a nice day each and everyone!

Lincoln's pictures always are breathing. There are about 8 years worth on that site now.

Margobird: I'm so very sorry to here about your upsetting news. Try not to worry, though; the majority of these cases are nothing to worry about. You just stay positive, and I'm sending you good energy!!!
aquilareen and Wattle: I've just seen that tsunami warnings have been posted for Australia, due to the risk from the huge earthquake in Chile. I'm not sure whether either of you are in the danger zone, but I hope you both stay safe.
I'll be back later to answer other posts. OG: Your post to me was so lovely and poetic. You have great talent!!!
Afternoon all from TI,
Tiger : Great shots as always on the palemale sight.
ChloeB: Thanks for the picture of the second egg in Rome.
This morning LadyP and I went to Stamford and had a walk around the town and shops. After heavy overnight rain the river Wensum is within inches of flooding. If we have more rain tomorrow and it is forecast there is certain to be flooding there.
Thanks to everyone else for their chat , links etc.
The Bassenthwaite webcam is up at the moment. A taste of things to come:
Tiger - the Pale Male pics are absolutely stunning. Hard to choose a favourite but will always love the evening ones with the lights. Love how those red tails stand out against the snow. As always, Lincoln's photography glows with life!

Alan - I thought for a minute you meant Stamford, Lincs until I saw the name of the river. Your Stamford is in Norfolk. Sounds pretty ominous and hope the rain stops before then.
ChloeB : Sorry I meant the river Welland not the Wensum which is of course in Norfolk.
Phoebe the hummer has just laid her second egg.
FAB
Alan - Stamford is lovely. Have had some really nice meals in Pizza Express overlooking the river on several occasions when visiting friends.
Phoebe is certainly not wasting any time is she? As is the way with Hummers, everything at top speed! :)
