Here I am, awaiting the snow machine to crank up again Sunday afternoon. Expecting 8 to 12 inches new snow on top of 3 or 4 we still have from last storm. Oh bother! Can you tell I'm not very enthused?????
So to pick up from the last of our thread:
Annette: Do tell us how the Pale Male movie was, please.
Some fascinating new news on the Peregrine Falcon front from Derby Cathedral (it's snowing there as I watch at 11:15 p.m. Chicago time) where they've finally let us in on the secret hinted at in the blog from last month.

I believe I'm off for the night now. Happy Sunday to all!
Hello all. Haven`t posted for few days just finished reading all your posts and checked out various links, such good material, thanks. `Cause have had free time, have been spending time with friends and relatives. I will probably "ignore" them when our ospreys will be back, both here and Loch Garten. So I thought some TLC should be done beforehand LOL. Weather here has been almost the same as before but yesterday and today are sunny. Temp now around -10C but will be near zero tomorrow!!! But predicted to go back to minus... don`t even wanna say it... Sunrise 7.36 sunset 17.35, almost ten hours daytime now.
Have a good day everyone!

Yes Auntie it is something to keep us going until the real action starts. But then the quiet season is when some real good work can be done.

Morning All, still raining here, with plenty more forecast.
OG, pleased to hear you were able to have a good night's sleep. The continuous snow fall looks so bad in N. Scotland. It was so sad to hear of the two deaths. They are saying, this morning, that down in Glasgow could have heavy snow today. The skiing industry are loving it though, as they see the season extending much longer this year.
Annette, Hope you have an enjoyable day with your daughter. Oro must look forward to your visits and his long walks.
Auntie, Always great to catch up with friends.I always have to remind myself that you are talking about daytime temperatures, so glad to hear you are warming up to a 0c .
Enjoy today.
Goodf afternoon Brenda after a couple of hours of dry weather it is now pouring down here yet again. My poor garden birds they really have had to put up with some rotten weather of late. Having said that they are all in the tree at the topof my garden singing their heads off, I think they must be getting used to being wet. Their food is disappearing fast again especially when the starlings visit periodically.
Very sad about the 2 climbers there seems to have been quite a few deaths in the mountains this year due to the extreme weather condition. I am fed up with rain, rain and more rain but it could be worse at least we have not had any more snow. we have friends in Glasgow so no doubt they will tell us about the weather when we next speak.
Have a good and dry afternoon.

Good afternoon auntie glad you are enjoying your week of and catching up friends and relatives. It is hard when you work to do everything you would like to do. Made a big difference for me when I retired fortunately before I became an osprey addict. Don't know how I would have managed if I was working. In fact I often say I don't know how I found the time to go out to work. Hoping EJ and Odin (hopefully) don't come back too soon as they are having heavy snow in that part of Scotland at the moment.
Feel quite envious of your long hours of daylight we have strugged round to starting to get light at about 6.30 and dark by just after 5.30 so we have a way to go at the moment.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
Wonderful Photos Tiger how lucky that person was to witness this.
Afternoon all from TI,
Tiger : Who needs Alien vs Predator when we have got Osprey vs Eagle. Great shots.
Margobird : Cant believe it is raining again down on the south coast. We had some rain overnight but it has remained dry so far today but with little sunshine.
This morning we went on a shopping mission to Tesco. Not sure what it is about Tesco but i dont enjoy shopping there much. Just took the Thunderdog out for his walk so I can now catch up on the webcams etc.
I think the ospreys must know that the weather is bad in UK as there have not been any sightings so far this February.
Weather : Overcast & gloomy , dry , Temp 9.4c , Sunrise 06:56 , Sunset 17:31.
