Hi All

Well! Cally is obviously still quite content in Spain.

Sorry for delay with the report.  The satellite was not downloading any extra data yesterday and today our system is on a go slow. I hope all the data has loaded correctly, if not ,we will sort it out next week.

It is far from a go slow on the reserve.  With all the wonderful weather, the team have taken the opportunity to go burning.  Everyone enjoys this, the weather is good the banter is good and everyone returns exhausted, looking and smelling like Kippers.

At Forest Lodge, we have had a lot of visiting groups already and the push is on to get the Osprey Centre up and running and all contracts on the reserve finished by the end of the financial year.

As the weather has been so nice, I took to the ski slopes last week and was absolutely delighted when I came across some Ptarmigan.  A shy and I feel  underated bird.  If you ever get a chance to see these birds in their summer plummage, they  rival  any other with its beautiful markings, it is quite outstanding and very special. Around the reserve we are still seeing small groups of 'bandits', the Waxwings, with their black eye mask, they always remind me of an exotic bandit or pirate from another land.

Well more news next week

Take care
