Well it's been a nice calm relaxing day at the osprey centre, Odin has brought in two fish and chased away an intruding osprey as well. He also went a little too far in his defence of the nest when he decided that four geese were getting a little too close for comfort. I don't think the geese knew what was happening when an osprey suddenly started dive bombing them, not the kind of thing they would usually expect! Someone should really let Odin know to relax sometimes, I know he wants to defend his nest but geese!!! Really Odin, just leave them be.

I must admit that I do have slightly ulterior motive in writing this blog today. The RSPB's Love Nature week (29th May to 5th June) is almost upon us and we are looking for as many people as possible to join in our street collections around the country. By just giving two hours of your time (or more if you wish!) you can help us protect the amazing wildlife that we have all around us. And even better, if you join a Scottish collection and let us know you want to raise the money for the ospreys then the income will be credited to Abernethy reserve. So if you want to help us out take a look at the web-page below  and register your interest.

We really need your help, it is only through your support that we are able to continue our conservation work, the ospreys you are watching are a testament to what can be achieved.
