There isn't much to report this week again, Tore is still languishing on the Casamance River in Senegal. There were only two points of data for Rothes, which show her still in her favourite spot,  the island of Ilha de Unhocomozinho and Bynack took a wee trip north, stayed a night and then returned yesterday, back to north-west of the Oiseaux de Djoudj National Park.

I only managed to catch Roy Dennis's osprey report on Autumnwatch a couple of days ago, it was wonderful to see the habitats that Tore, Bynack and Rothes are residing in, and the osprey with that enormous fish so reminded me of EJ!

The River Spey is in full spate at the moment with all the rain and high winds we have been having, no wonder the ospreys migrate south. Even the ducks are having a hard time against the flow of the water.  One small tributary which flows into the Spey near Cromdale is alive with spawning salmon, but sadly with so much water and the burn having burst its banks a lot of fish are getting washed into the fields.

Another idea for those of you who have children, nephews or nieces or grandchildren is abook called Skyhawk by Gill Lewis, which follows the adventures of two children and an osprey. It is a great story aimed at 8-12 year olds, and deals with the threats to the natural world both here and beyond.

I hope you all have a good week!
