Hello all. I haven't been to LM for a couple of months, it gets a tad crowded for me in the school holidays. Paid a visit last Wednesday & found it fairly quiet bird wise; although it was a glorious sunny day. Did see lots of dragonflies, and several young Water Rail, a huge number of Black Tailed Godwits, numerous Great Egrets and if I'm correct the first photo are Ruff (if so, a first for me).
Ruff?
Very young Water Rail
A Coot enjoying some dragonflies for his lunch
A lovely stag, with some of his wives & children
Lots of dragonflies
All in all, a lovely day!

Some good photos of good sightings. The young Rail is a rare spot. For what it is worth, I think you are right about them being Ruff.
