The lovely weather continues to bring out the deer: nine reds were seen from the Griesdale hide. A lesser whitethroat was seen on the path to the Lower hide, while a pair of widgeon showed at the Lilian's hide. The marsh harriers have been displaying well, with good views had from the Griesdale hide and the Lilian's hide. The sunshine also attracted a jay to the feeding station this afternoon.
At the saltmarsh oystercatchers were out in good numbers, including two chicks, along with three little egrets. A chiff chaff was heard singing and then seen with a juvenile, and a sedge warbler, a grasshopper warbler and a lesser whitethroat were also spotted at the Eric Morecambe hide.
