Hello,

A belated blog as we've had some web glitches while we get up and running with our snazzy new website. Alas I don't have oodles of time to go into details so hopefully a snippet of links will get you up to speed. Here are our daily sightings maps from last week and a couple from the start of this week

March 21st

March 22nd (an amazing day for whooper swan movement with several groups heading over in a half hour window including this one first and then this one 5 minutes later)

March 26th (including a very confiding ruff)

March 27th

March 28th

March 29th

And here is the weekly summary map

Some excellent images have been uploaded to our Flickr page so please check them out and feel free to post on there if you're a member. If you aren't but know someone who has a camera and visits regularly then please let them know where to find us and help spread the word.

And finally a little back patting after to conclude after last week.

A brilliant effort by John and Anthony has cemented our place as the top patch in the country for species and points to get your year list off to a great start and the final word on our 2014 Golden Welly success which puts as the best RSPB reserve for waders in the country! Here are some highlights from the last 6 years.

That's all from me this week. Enjoy your weekend everyone, and if you can't wait 7 days to know what's going on here, keep your finger on the Lincolnshire Wash Reserves pulse by following us on Twitter and giving us a ‘like’ on Facebook. Alternatively if you enjoy taking pictures and have a Flickr account then please join our group and share your images with everyone. If you are thinking of paying a visit from near or far please do check out the tide times which can make a big difference to both numbers and variety of birds seen on the day.
