Over the past couple of weeks we have had blogs by Poppy. She is now back off to university, but left us with one final blog. Here she reflects on her time with us.

Today is the last day of my work placement here at Frampton. It is amazing how quickly this past month has flown by. I am not even sure I want to leave! It won’t be for long, I can assure you of that. So in order to reminisce on my time here, I would like to share some of the many highlights with you...
  Putting the trail out
.
As I arrived at Frampton nearing the end of March, Easter holidays were fast approaching. Although I didn’t get to write the trail myself, I really enjoyed putting the different clues around the reserve. I also loved delivering the trail to children of all ages, explaining what they had to do and rewarding them at the end with a prize!
  Yum! Some of the prizes

After starting university back in 2015, I have not managed to get to as many Boston Wildlife Explorers meetings as I’d have liked. But I made it to the April meeting, ‘Tree Sparrows’! I loved being back. It was great to see everyone again and get involved with some fantastic activities. I even made my own tree sparrow! To top it all off, I even got to write a blog about the day. Maybe you have seen it?

Walking around the reserve you may have seen some boards like the ones in the below photographs. One of my jobs whilst at Frampton was to create some temporary interpretation pieces, to provide visitors with a little extra insight into things like birds and plants on the reserve. The two below provide information on Catkins and Reeds.

But above all, I have loved working alongside such a fab bunch of volunteers and staff. The work they do for this reserve is brilliant. I would just like to take the time to say thank you to everyone that I’ve worked with over the past month. Thank you for making my time here so spectacular. I am incredibly grateful to have been given this opportunity; it is one I have thoroughly enjoyed. Although it may be bye for now, I am sure I will be back soon.

Reedbed, freshwater scrapes, saltmarsh and wet meadow. Frampton Marsh has it all! Come and pay us a visit soon.
