Sarah is back again with another blog post. This time about the Easter events. She writes...
----------------------------------The time is almost upon us again, and we have some fantastic events for you this Easter holiday. Starting off with some egg-cellent Easter egg hunts. Here’s a quick round up.
First up is the classic Easter egg hunt. Follow the trail and cryptic clues, unscramble the letters and reveal the answer. Then come back to the visitor centre where you will receive a chocolaty reward for your intrepid explorers. Last year’s hunt was a great success so we hope to do the same again this year! This is just £2 per child including prize and it’s suitable for ages 4 and over. Pick up an entry sheet from the visitor centre. Running from the 25 March – 11 April.
Next is the Virtual Easter egg hunt. To be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize (pictured below) all you need to do is to take a selfie with one of the five large Easter eggs hidden round the reserve, Then 'like' our Facebook page (facebook.com/rspblincs) and post your photo there to be entered into the draw to win a fantastic prize, which includes a large cuddly Easter bunny and an equally large egg (pictured below). This is free to do, and if you find all five you can enter five times so get snapping! Running from the 25 March – 11 April.
Last but not least is Birds for Kids, an engaging introduction for kids who are interested in learning more about the birds around them. They will receive information about the theory and field craft before heading into the reserve to put the theory into action. An introduction to the beauty of nature can lead to a lifelong hobby and respect for the world they live in. £3 per child, 20% off for RSPB members. Sessions at 11 am and 2pm on 30 March and 6 April.
