We have a couple of new faces here at the reserve. Our lovely two new interns, Luke and Sarah. Both of them will be working with the team for 6 months, Luke on the conservation side of things, Sarah on the visitor aspects.

To introduce them, we will be getting each of them to say a few words about themselves. We'll start with Sarah.

Hello!

Just a quick introduction. My name’s Sarah, I am 23 and I am the new Visitor Experience Intern at Frampton Marsh for the next six months. I arrived here from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. I started taking part in volunteering in conservation at the National Trust’s Marsden Moor Estate; It was there I started taking a serious interest in conservation. This has led me to this lovely reserve and the RSPB. The weather has been great for the last couple of days as I’ve settled in and it’s allowed me some beautiful views, this seems like a good omen to start my time here! I am looking forward to learning some valuable skills and improving my nature knowledge. Bear with me on the bird knowledge, I’m getting there! Though I can’t think of a better place to learn.

I am greatly looking forward to meeting all of you, so please pop by and say hello if you’re visiting!

Sarah

Thank you Sarah. Look out for her in and around the visitor centre. Next time, we'll get Luke to say something about himself.

Reedbed, freshwater scrapes, saltmarsh and wet meadow. Frampton Marsh has it all! Come and pay us a visit soon.
