If you’ve been down to the reserve, you might have seen the sheep that we have grazing on the reedbed and scrapes habitats. These act as natural lawn mowers, keeping the grass short for ducks and geese later in the year.
All of the sheep had been scanned to see if any were pregnant and it seemed none were. It was a bit of a surprise then to find a little lamb in with all the sheep on the scrapes last week. I guess scans can’t always be 100% accurate!
