It’s coming up to half-term now, have you got any plans yet?. Well, just saying you don’t, I have a few ideas.
Starting off with the more biased side of things we have a lot going on at Frampton Marsh! Back by popular demand we have a brand new trail round our reedbed for this week only, with puzzles and clues for your nature detectives to unravel. And naturally this comes with a sweet prize for their efforts. No need to book for this and it’s available all through the holidays during opening hours. £2 per child.
We also have some excellent guided events which include bug hunting, birds for kids and pond dipping. These are all very good fun and designed to get kids inquisitive about nature, whilst also being hands on and fun. You do need to book for the guided events, I’ll put some info at the bottom. £3.50 per child.
Say you want to do something a little closer to home; we have something for that too. The RSPB’s aim is to give nature a home. This both helps nature and is also good fun to do. On our website you can find loads of ways to give nature a home in your garden. It doesn’t matter what size garden you have, big, small or even a balcony; there are lots of ways to help. Maybe you’d like to open a hedgehog cafe? Or even a bee B&B. If you register you even get a free pack with 20 different ways to give nature a home. The possibilities are endless!

So there’s more than enough to keep the little ones occupied and enjoying nature over the school holidays
