Early morning visit, 2nd June 2017

What a stunning place Fowlmere is. This morning kingfishers were flying past the Kingfisher hide, with reed warblers and buntings in all the reeds, baby barn owls in 2 boxes, a hobby displaying over the mere, linnets busy with young, lapwings, dragonflies, damselflies, chiffchaffs, blackcaps, willow warblers and the sound of turtle doves calling - didn't see them though! Also, lots of families with young children visiting later in the morning, always good to see. Highlight for me was watching a cettis warbler fully visible calling/shouting right next to the Mere hide and the linnets showing so well. Photos uploaded with luck!
