Fowlmere is my nearest but sadly not most visited nature reserve. I visited the Sunday before last and was delighted with what I found. The reserve looked lovely and the picnic place looked so much better than before but oh how I wish we could have a proper toilet block, just a small one would be wonderful! Right, enough whinging. We settled down in the DREWER Hide and were lucky enough to see a Kingfisher. We also heard a Cetti's Warbler, didn't see it but at least we know they are there. Highlight of the morning has to be seeing the Marsh Harriers doing a food pass in mid air, amazing. if you live near enough and haven't been to Fowlmere yet, a visit is really worthwhile.
