Good morning,
This weekend I stayed in Canterbury with some friends. Ive never been there before and its a nice little town. We decided to go to the Hythe and Dungeness minature railway but on the way I spotted the RSPB Dungeness reserve, but my friends weren't that interested :( Shock! On the minature railway we went behind the houses on the coastal route and glad to see plenty of feeding stations for the birds. I always try to spot to see which gardens have feeding stations in, and glad to say there's a lot.
So if anyone on hear is local to Dungeness, I will be going back in the year catch up what I missed.
The food at the Pilot is great. And the reserve is excellent in spring and summer when there's the added bonus of reptiles and insects to see. The sea is worth a look all year round, especially the 'Patch' - where the power station's warm outflow attracts lots of fish, which attract loads of gulls (and terns, in the late spring/summer/early autumn).
Hi-
when I stayed there ( 70's before I got barred) the Pilot only did fish and chips basically. Food trip was once a week and cost about £2. I used to shop in Lade or Greatstone I think.

What did you do before you got barred, S? lol
