Great glossy ibis view!

Well finally today we had another (fairly) fair weather day!  Lots of visitors had some good wildlife sightings, including a water rail at the ARC pit, bittern flying over Hooker's viewpoint and the usual smattering of goldeneye, smew and goosander on Burrowes pit.

Four great white egret were seen at various locations, but the star of the show as usual was the glossy ibis, which flew right in front of the Visitor Centre just before sundown.  This was a lovely treat for those last few visitors enjoying their cups of tea before heading home!
