Brent goose – one amongst geese at Denge Marsh on 29^th Dec.

Pintail – one at Denge Marsh on 1^st.

Goldeneye – at ARC pit on 1^st.

Smew – seven redheads on Burrowes pit on 2^nd.

Goosander – two females on Burrowes pit at Firth hide on 2^nd..

Slavonian grebe – one at Hookers pits on 31^st Dec.

Black-necked grebe – one on Burrowes pit on 2^nd.

Bittern – two at ARC on 2^nd.

Great white egret – at ARC, New diggings and Boulderwall Farm on 2^nd.

Merlin – one over Burrowes pit on 2^nd.

Peregrine – one at Denge Marsh on 2^nd.

Curlew – two at Boulderwall Farm on 2^nd.

Water rail – one in front of ARC Hanson hide on 2^nd.

Snipe – one on the return trail on 30^th Dec.

Kingfisher – at Dennis’s hide and at Hookers pits on 2^nd.

Stonechat – between Christmas dell and Denge Marsh hides on 1^st.

Chiffchaff – at Dennis’s hide on 2^nd.

Firecrest – one heard at ARC on 1^st.

Goldcrest – three at ARC on 1^st.

Long-tailed tit – at ARC Hanson hide on 1^st.

Bearded tit – showing well at Hookers pits ramp in the sunshine on 2^nd.

Tree sparrow – on car park feeders on 29^th Dec.

Raven – at Denge Marsh on 2^nd.
