A black throated diver was seen flying and diving on Burrowes pit all day today. A grey wagtail was also seen flying over the access track. The long-eared owl is still here in his favourite roosting spot by the dipping pond. Peregrines, buzzards and marsh harriers have also been seen today! Lovely :)

Stop dissing the weather! The weather is what it is, and ecosystems need all kinds of weather. That it doesn't happen to suit a bunch of apes with physiology better suited to the tropics, doesn't make it a bad thing. We need to learn to appreciate all kinds of weather, rather than this narrow-minded desire for non-stop sunshine and warmth, which would trash our wildlife!!!!!!!
