Just a quick update on recent happenings on the reserve! It's nice to see the sunshine here at Dungeness and the wildlife are enjoying it too! There are so many insects out in the sun including crickets, beetles and many different species of bees and butterflies.
Today's bird sightings include: a pair of pintail, 2 dunlin and whitethroat on Burrowes pit, little egret, 2 hobbies and 10 bearded tits at Denge Marsh and linnets at Christmas Dell hide. At the ARC there are cuckoos and long-tailed tits and a hare was seen by the entrance.
Next weekend we are hosting an evening walk on the reserve, which is a beautiful time of day to enjoy wildlife. Come along and enjoy one of the longest evenings outdoors with a walk in a peaceful setting.
