Close Encounters

A good birding day yesterday with marsh harrier, several kingfisher flights, common tern and juvenile, tuffed duck with 10 chicks, juvenile great crested grebe, pair of reed buntings, reed warbler, a pair of kestrels flying together and the usual supects.  But I was convinced there was a fault on my camera as all my shots looked hazy. That is until I got home and cleaned the screen on my camera and my glasses!

There were a couple of close encounters

A puss moth caterpillar was hanging in there.

A thirsty butterfly

The young great crested grebe

And a king fisher plus guard of honor

There is no such thing as a bad day at Old Moor.
