Set off for Leighton Moss and drove 35 miles to get on the M61 but the traffic was at a stand still so I went around the roundabout and came back on myself till I got to the M62 a mile from were I live and called in at Old moor for my first time visit, not sure now what time I got there but it was in the afternoon, bumped into a nice chap called Alan, he knew the place well and told me were to go for the wildlife I was after so thanks Alan.
It was a very nice sunny day and quit a lot of wildlife around sadly only one picture to show but I’m sure there will be more in the future.
Taken from the Reedbed hide Little Egret.

Thanks Matthew, and I'm sure you will see me again soon, I had another look at the few pictures I had taken and thought this was worth showing, a Coot feeding its young with greens that it dived under the water for.
In reply to James:
Cracking shots Jim glad you enjoyed your visit, love the Coot one.

In reply to Catlady:
Thanks Alan, and Catlady, If my mate gets home early and has a few hours sleep in the morning we might call up tomorrow he has never been and was looking at it the other week and it looks like its going to be a nice day.
If you might be going tomorrow Jim keep a look out for the sightings blog in a bit to give you an idea what's there and where.
Cheers will do Alan.
Sadly got my names mixed up in the first post it was Alan I met not Paul :) and I met him again yesterday he welcomed me in at reception, cheers Alan, and even though we got there late we had a good day and got some nice pictures.
