Notification from Rhia McBain - Stone Carving Workshop and Marsh Fritillary Conservation Days.

Hi,

Please view posters for our stone carving and Marsh Fritillary conservation days in March and April.

Don’t forget we also have our Wander on Wedholme this Sunday 1-3pm.

The stone carving day is booking only so please contact me to book either a morning slot or an afternoon slot on Saturday 5^th March to come and try your hand carving on a sandstone gate stoop with our expert Tom Baron leading the day.

Then we have two Marsh Fritillary days-

Sunday March 13^th 10am – 3.30pm at Orton Moss at a site called Tysons meadow which is privately owned (see the attached poster for parking area).

Wednesday April 6^th 10- 3.30pm at Orton Moss again, same parking area but this time at a site owned by CWT.

Parking is limited but there should be more than enough room on the parking area or the verges on the same side of the road if they aren’t too soft.

For the Marsh Fritillary days and the Wedholme wander wellies are essential as eth ground is very muddy/ boggy in places. Please also bring warm, waterproof clothing.
