We have had some great events already this year with lots more to come, hopefully there will be something you like the sound of, if not get in touch and give us some suggestions of things you would like to see or do.

 

Dragonflies and Damselflies

Saturday 11th July, 10.30am-3.30pm

RSPB Campfield Marsh, Bowness-on-Solway, CA7 5AG

 

Explore the wonderful world of these fantastic wetland insects with the help of David Clarke from the British Dragonfly Society. The day is suitable for complete beginners and novices alike, and is ideal for adults and older young people interested in delving deeper into the wildlife of the Solway. Bring a packed lunch, a drink and wear layers, a waterproof coat and wellies. The day involves both indoor sessions and outdoor fieldwork. Free of charge but booking is essential.

 

Tale Trails

Saturday 18th July, 11am-3pm

Finglandrigg Wood National Nature Reserve, near Kirkbampton, CA5 6JD

 

Join Natural England and friends for a family friendly day.  Meet the crazy critters of Finglandrigg Wood and explore the site with the help of our new Tale Trail.  There will be some story-telling, the chance to create your own funky map and loads of fun crafts!

 

Wetland Discovery Day

Sunday 19th July, 11am-4pm

RSPB Campfield Marsh, Bowness-on-Solway, CA7 5AG

 

Come and join us for a fun-filled day of wildlife discovery. Drop-in anytime between 11am and 4pm to take part in lots of activities, including pond dipping, a creepy crawly hunt, storytelling walks, crafts, bird bingo and bushcraft. Free of charge, just turn up.
