Wildlife Taster Day: Bog Mosses Saturday 16 May, 10.30am to 3.30pm
RSPB Campfield Marsh, Bowness-on-Solway, CA7 5AG Join botanist Keith Watson to discover and identify these multi-coloured plants and learn what it is that makes them so special. The day is suitable for complete beginners and novices alike, and is ideal for adults and older young people interested in delving deeper into the wildlife of the Solway. Free of charge but booking is essential. Bioblitz! Friday 29 and Saturday 30 May, 7pm to 7pm RSPB Campfield Marsh and the Solway Wetlands Centre, Bowness-on-Solway, CA7 5AG Join the experts to record as much wildlife as possible within 24 hours at RSPB Campfield Marsh. Kicking off at 7pm, a series of activities starts on the Friday evening and continues through Saturday to identify bats, birds, insects, mammals and wildflowers on the site. Learn how to find, identify and record wildlife with guided walks, displays, demonstrations and activities. Activities are free of charge, no need to book, just turn up.
