7th November

In the early morning sunshine, in the region of 800 Barnacles were frequenting the saltmarsh from the Viaduct west to Scargavel Point.

Initially a group first landed out on the mudflats . . .

. . . and tentatively made its way up onto the saltmarsh.

These flying west were a little uncertain but turned and landed on seeing another group already grazing on the saltmarsh.

Others that had landed further east towards the Viaduct.

Shelduck  also on the mudflats.

19th November

 A flight of Pintail seen as the tide came in.

They eventually floated by at high tide.

22th November.

An evening walk down the Lonning elicited a small group of Whoopers settling down for the night on the International Pools. Numerous Lapwings, Redshank and Ducks  were just visable on the meadows round the Paisley Pools.

 27th November.

 Pintail and Dunlin enjoying a dabble as the tide ebbs at Scargavel Point.

30th November.

Wigeon,Teal and Little Egret on new lagoons in late afternoon sunshine.

The orange orb of the moon as it rises above the Viaduct just after 5pm.
