Well we have had some fantastic weather over the past week, which has brought out the signs of spring at Bempton Cliffs. The Gannets and Kittiwakes have been seen bringing back nesting material to make improvement to their nest, a bit like re-decorating in some ways. The air is full of song as you walk down to the cliffs. There I was looking up in the sky for it, but low and behold there it was on a post singing away. It stayed long enough for me to get this digi-scoping shot.

Meadow pipits too have been singing away, it is lovely to see how they fly up high then parachute down filling the air with their flight song. This is behavioural clue to help identify meadow pipits. Then not forgetting sounds the cliffs, with waves crashes below, the racket of the kittiwakes and chattering guillemots. I shall now leave with another of my digi-scoping shots of our resident barn owl.
