The Short-eared Owl’s are still sticking around, with some good sightings over the past few days. One usually hunt’s over the field leading to the cliff paths, making it easily visible from the visitor centre. A Barn Owl also often makes an appearance, looking for a tasty morsel.

So part from the odd owl what else been happening? Well we have seven of our eight seabirds returned to the cliffs, so which one is missing? Yes you guessed it, we are still waiting on the arrival of our puffins. There have been a couple of odd sighting out at sea by visitors and volunteers, but no reports on the cliffs yet.
Nevertheless the Guillemot’s and Razorbills have started to show themselves on the cliffs, making good video recording for our camera which stream footage to the visitor centre screens. And let’s not forget about our Kittiwake’s, which will soon be covering the cliffs cutting through the sea breeze with their ‘kitti-waaark kitti-waaark’ call.
There have been some puffin sightings out at sea and one seen on the cliff on thurdays 28th by a viewpoint volunteer. So you might never know your luck.
Puffins arrived yet? Possibly making a visit this weekend!
