Heather Davison, who is leading the RSPB Date with Nature project looking at peregrines in Scarborough, brings us the latest news from a little further up the coast.

This weekend, unfortunately, saw no change on the peregrine nesting front. However, there were some spectacular aerobatic displays from the female, swooping down over the road and then below the sea wall. Male and female have been out hunting together and returned at the same time, so at least they haven't lost complete interest in each other!

We had a view of four porpoises on Friday, just as we were leaving for the day. We also saw at least eight common scoters flying south on Friday afternoon, so quite an active weekend despite the lack of peregrine nest.

We'll bring your more news from Scarborough as we get it.
