.

Long before shops opened on Sunday, they often closed on Wednesday, or at least in the afternoon.

And being, stuck in the middle of the week, Weds has always been a bit of a non-entity of a day.  It’s not near enough to Saturday to allow you to look forward to the whizz-bang of the weekend or close enough to Monday to get revved-up for the week ahead.

So we’ve decided to give Wednesdays a boost with a series of guided walks taking in three of the region’s top wildlife haunts.

Starting out at Bempton Cliffs, you’ll be taken on an exclusive tour of the reserve with the chance to see visitors such as owls, snow buntings and even the odd porpoise.  Then it’s off to Sewerby Hall for a wander round the gardens and woodlands where you might bump into a deer or two.   After lunch in the estate’s tearooms, it’s off to Flamborough for a ramble round the rock pools of South Landing.

So if you fancy an adventure, join us on one of the following Wednesdays:  28 November*, 12 December*, 2 January, 16 January, 30 January, 13 February, 27 February,* 13 March*.

Wednesdays witll never be the same again.

Time: 10am – 2.30pm (approx.)

Cost: £16 including refreshments and a light lunch of soup and a roll

Place: Walks start from the reserve, dates marked with an asterisk start from Flamborough’s  South Landing due to tide times.
