Hello - This is a rather rushed first post but after a long time with nothing happening on the kestrel nest we came in this morning to find our surprise that the first egg has been layed! Very exciting! So I have switched the web cam over for the time being!
We are still keeping an eye on the buzzard nest so if they do decide to use it we will switch over to them!
But for the time being happy viewing of the kestrels
Michael
Ps - As this has happened quickly the web cam caption will still be for the feeder for a few days until I get the web team to change it over!
One of the chicks has a little flap of its wings...
Little clip of the feed to follow
Here is the earlier clip of the chicks preening, before the parent arrived with dinner which I missed.
Here is the clip of the feed earlier
5 heads bobbling about - even though one is facing the wrong way and seems to be doing its own thing :-)
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
14.24 Mrs AK has been brooding and Mr AK has just turned up. Too quick for me again lol. It looked as though he had prey and passed it over. They were both in the window and gone so quick lol. Now Mrs is back again, with the prey which looks like a vole at a guess. She is now feeding them. Short clip to follow.
Here's the little clip of the last feed
Many thanks for all the clips & photos Mims - what a lovely family :-)
The Kestrel cam is currently experiencing technical problems, we will try and have it up and running as soon as possible. Sorry for any disappointment. We are missing it as well!
All working well now - 5 little fluff balls all happily together on their own :-)
