Think you will find there will be staff with scopes so probably no problems and or they may even let you hire or borrow decent bins.Ospreys seem to always be at Arne in September in small numbers perhaps 2 to 4.
Hi Woody
Yes there will staff and volunteers at a couple of spots with telescopes spotting whats about and we will be at the visitor centre to point you in the right direction. Look forward to seeing you at the weekend.
Had a great day at Arne today, missed the Ospray twice but did see Peregrine hunting and catchings it prey. Also seen Buzzards, Curlew and these firsts for me Whitethroats, this Wheatear and Yellow Legged Gull.
My thanks to the staff and volunteers for pointing out these birds and making the day enjoable.
Had a great day on Saturday, no Osprey, but lots of Raft Spiders, Wasp Spiders and Buzzards, will post pics tomorrow. Best news is my knee held up to a whole day of walking!
Spent the morning walking around on Sunday. Perfect morning and even saw a Marsh Harrier for the first time!! What a fantastic sight!
Disappointed wasn't able to make it to Arne at the weekend, so pleased to hear you were able to walk around all day JoT, great news :-)
