The Hen Harrier Carnival was a fantastic success! We had blazing sunshine and around 3,500 people at the Alnwick Garden throughout the day on Saturday 27th July and even the heavy rain on Sunday morning at Greenhead couldn't dampen our spirits. The river may have been too high for the community's annual rubber-duck race but the weather gods must have been smiling on us because the sun came out just in time for the Skydancing Circus Show that afternoon!

A massive thank you to all who came and helped out or simply enjoyed the show - we couldn't have done it without you! In case you missed it, the Five Ring Circus troupe will be performing the show again as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, at the Royal Botanic Gardens this week. For more information, see the Fringe website here.

I'm also pleased to announce that the lucky winners of our free prize draw are:

1st - Hazel Pickett

2nd - Clare Underwood, Thomas McDonagh

3rd - Stewart Otley, Louis Moran, Emma Newbould

Congratulations! Your prizes will shortly be winging their way to you in the post.

And now, some highlights...!

Composed and recorded by our very own Assistant Warden from Leighton Moss, Alasdair Grubb, this beautiful little song formed the background to the whole event...
