This time of year is always a busy period for us - not only are we out visiting farmers, carrying out early morning surveys and (hopefully) enjoying the weather, but it's also show season! This gives us a great opportunity to talk to lots of farmers as well as other advisors and agricultural organisations and businesses. Shows are a brilliant place to learn as well as offer advice, and we're looking forward to meeting lots of people over the next few months to do just that.

The big event in my calendar is Cereals - which takes place in Royston, Cambs this year on 11 and 12 June. We'll be promoting Farm Wildlife - a new partnership initiative with agricultural and environmental organisations across the UK to provide a one-stop shop management advice shop for farmers. We'll also be on hand to offer advice on specific issues, and demonstrating the value of positive land management and the associated wildlife response that can be achieved.

We're a friendly bunch so pop along and see us for a cuppa and a chat if you're at the show.

If you're not an arable farmer, or you're not planning to attend Cereals this year, you can also find us at the following events this summer:

Royal Highland Show - 19 - 21 June, Ingliston, Edinburgh

Royal Welsh Show - 21 - 24 July, Builth Wells, Powys
