Our host Richard Haddock is delighted to be hosting this event. Richard is a commercial farmer who is keen to provide room on his farm for wildlife – and in particular the rare cirl bunting. Richard is looking forward to sharing his experiences as well as hearing how other farmers and practitioners do something similar - and about the benefits involved.
Matt Lobley from the Centre of Rural Policy Research at Exeter University, comments that we often take it for granted in Devon that good food and a great environment go hand-in-hand. Matt feels this event will give people a chance to share best practices and to gain valuable insights as so many farmers are leading the way in producing both quality food and wildlife.
We do hope you can join us - and we look forward to meeting you there!
