We want to shine a light on the exceptional people and projects helping Scotland’s species and habitats. If you, either individually, as a group, as part of a partnership, or in a business, are going the extra mile to support nature or want to celebrate others doing great work, the Nature of Scotland Awards want to hear from you!

Why Apply?

If you are nominating someone else, it will give them a tremendous boost, getting the recognition they deserve for their impactful work for nature. If you are entering on behalf of your own organisation, partnership, or business, it’s a way to receive independent recognition, which can be invaluable for demonstrating success to partners, supporters, customers, or funders.

Winning or being shortlisted not only brings well-deserved recognition but also helps to inspire others, attract support, and strengthen Scotland’s movement for nature.

It’s Free, It’s Easy, and It’s Worth It!

We know how busy you are, so entering is designed to be quick and straightforward. You don’t need to be a professional writer – just tell your story, share your achievements, and let your passion for nature shine through. There are 10 awards to choose from, each designed to celebrate individuals, partnerships, groups and businesses. Visit our website for all the details www.rspb.org.uk/natureofscotland.

Nominations are completely free, so there’s nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Make sure you include key facts and figures that illustrate your success. Tailor your application to the specific award category you are entering. You can enter more than one, but each application must be unique to the category, which you can find on our website.

Engage with Scotland’s Conservation Community

One of the biggest benefits of entering is the opportunity to engage with others from the environmental sector. Everyone who enters is invited to our Shortlist Reception at the Scottish Parliament on 10 September. Finalists will also receive two complimentary places to attend the Awards Ceremony on 20 November at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
