This is the last remaining bit of our wheat from Hope Farm - about 150t apparently.
And saleable at c£185/t at the moment. Close to £30k worth.
A love of the natural world demonstrates that a person is a cultured inhabitant of planet Earth.
Jockeyshield - our resident barn owls have plenty of rats to eat.
redkite - nobody is ever satisfied because it's very rare that anyone sells all their wheat at the top of the market! And no-one buys all their fertiliser at the bottom of the market either!
Interesting to know how much rat poison was used to keep this grain ready for the market! Poor old Barn Owls missing out again!
It is an ill wind! While we are all, we hope temporarily, paying a lot more for commodities at the moment, I trust this translates into a very healthy income for the RSPB from Hope farm this year.
