The RSPB has had a green energy scheme with Scottish and Southern Energy since 2000. It was one of the first, one of the best and one of the most successful green energy schemes around. But, the scheme closes on 31 March this year. I have moved my custom to another green energy provider.
Is this a very roundabout way of saying that SSE want to put windfarms in places RSPB isn't happy with ? Maybe you can't answer that ?
But if it is the case well done RSPB for stepping back from tainted money, and SSE - and any other windfarm operators planning to put windfarms in conflict with birds - please do think again. Green energy that damages the environment isn't actually green energy at all.
