when you feel down take a look outside...nature will uplift you
Hi daisy, good to see them enjoying the fruit, Mrs Grandpaddy had a surplus of apples from our fruit trees this year ,more than needed so we saved them and I cut them in half and stake them out on the bushes down the garden sides ,they attract Blackbirds ,siskins and at time field fares and red-wing
and onto the bird table
all along the hedgerow
Regards Mick
Work is for those people that don't Bird-watch!!!!
In reply to Grandpaddy:
My Blackbirds are fighting like hell over the apples just now.

Fabulous garden!!! brilliant pics. i always put out an apple for the badger and it gets finished off by the birds in the morning. i've just bought a hanging stake thing (not really sure what to call it lol) and the birds have been enjoying the fruit from there.

Birdie he was there for ages!!! I thought he looked happy as well!! I'm copying Mick and impaling some apples on the hedge tomorrow morning :)
