The blackbirds have REALLY started raiding the pyracantha hedge, in fact it looks like they have almost stripped it of what few berries it has produced this year! I think they know I'm planning on cutting it right back in a couple of weeks times lol

LOL. I have three pyrancantha bushes, and have only ever seen one bird of any description eating the berries! Fickle beggars.

They didn't touch them until well into the winter last year, this year there's about half a dozen blackbirds at least tucking in!

I'm only seeing a blackbird about twice a day - perhaps they're off eating someone's pyracantha bushes. I did expect to see more now I've started ground feeding again but after the first two days, they disappeared.

With all the berries around blackbirds gather together to raid berry bushes, so they probably are off munching on berries somewhere! Probably my garden lol
The fav here is Cotoneaster - they have not stripped it yet
