butterflies

i saw my first tortoise shell butterflie this morning in my back garden lovely site to see and my first bumble bee

i built a new pond  just for wild life i have already got a pond for fish but mr and mrs forg have enjouyed it to so the wild life pond i created along with some of the fish pond water a few weeks ago has now been filled with the frog spawn out of my fish pond please could some one tell me if ive done the right thing and will thay servive i moved a lot of the algie with the spawn so thay have food to start with and im also growin bullrushes in the middle of the wild pond yes it has been built for all animals to get in and out off very easerly and theres a rockery just be hind for animals to hide in and all around the front ive planted wild flower and corn flower seeds and a small area of longish grass as i dont bother mowing it so thanks if you can tell me ive done the right thing for the little frogs

  • The frogspawn should survive. When I was little a long time ago lol we used to bring it home in jam jars from the brooks and rivers and they always hatched out in an old  washing up bowl or what ever Mum had handy.

    the frog spawn has all hatched and are doing really well sooooo many ive recantly given them some cat food my cats didnt like the one i now give the little frogs ive given them some blood worms and shrimps is there any really type of food i should be giving them now to help them on the way the birds also love going for a dip in the pond but dont seem to have eatten many little frogs thay seem to enjoy the food i put out for them and the insects that fly around the wildflowers so if anyone could plz let me know what i can feed the frogs on insteasd of just cat food thanks
