Hi folks,
Once again I went across the road to my neighbour's garden to watch a ringing session. What a priviledge it is, and totally brilliant to see these little birds close up. Just to point out how tiny these Lesser Redpolls are, they weighed in at between 11.5 and 12 grams. A total of 20 different redpolls have been ringed in this garden in a week.
Today's little sweeties were all males.
Cheers, Linda.

Gorgeous, Sparrow! How lovely to see them so close to and to be able to get such great shots! I've only seen the odd one from a distance.
I particularly love the 3rd picture!

Many thanks folks!
Indeed I am lucky, and priviledged, to have this chance.
How beautiful, and how lucky you are , I have never seen one before. Looks almost as if he has had a close encounter with a red felt tip pen. So cute

Yet more wonderful photos, Sparrow. Looks like your hands were a bit steadier this time for taking the shots. LOL

Linda, I thought to have experienced this just once, was a dream, but twice must have been just heaven. You may have been more relaxed this time but still think you did so well to achieve those wonderful photographs. Thanks for sharing your fantastic experience.
