Why not have a thread for Beetles too? So, who is this little critter? I found two of them on the dried out runner bean pods.
Southern Green Shieldbug, mid instar nymph ... mebbe?
Recent arrival to UK from Africa imported via food ... likes beans apparently amongst other stuff!
IWOOT!!
Good to see the Beatles are back! Reckon Wendy might be correct wit her ID.
that's a rather lovely looking shield bug Paul, well spotted.

Thanks for the ID. You can have as many as you want!
Ta ... you know the address! Lol
Well done on the ID Wendy, & good idea for thread MC but you'll have to change it to Basically Bugs as Shieldbugs aren't Beetles!! LOL
good idea for a thread :)
I found a lot of ladybirds on the pavement outside the College this afternoon. Mostly they were 'standard' markings, but this one stood out. Can anyone ID it?
Just bumping this back up for an ID; I'm not sure what it is Paul but could be a Harlequin which are on the increase. Hope the experts can come up with the ID for you.
It is a Harlequin Hazel, info easily found on the net and i'm sure I have seen one of these myself.
